PORTABLE AIRCONDITIONER

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read carefully and save for future use!

Warning: The safety measures and instructions, contained in this

manual, do not include all conditions and situations possible. The user

must understand that common sense, caution and care are factors

that cannot be integrated into any product. Therefore, these factors

shall be ensured by the user/s using and operating this appliance. We

are not liable for damages caused during shipping, by incorrect use,

voltage uctuation or the modication or adjustment of any part of

the appliance.

To protect against arisk of re or electric shock, basic precautions shall

be taken while using electrical appliances, including the following:

1. Make sure the voltage in your outlet corresponds to the voltage

provided on the appliance label and that the socket is properly

grounded. The outlet must be installed in accordance with

applicable electrical codes according to EN.

2. Do not operate the device if the cord is damaged. All repairs, including

cord replacements, must be carried out at aprofessional service centre!

Do not remove the protective covers from the appliance; there is arisk

of electric shock!

3. Protect the appliance against contact with water and other liquids to

prevent risk of electric shock.

4. The appliance is intended for domestic use only! Do not use the

appliance outside or in adamp environment or in areas where gas may

leak or where contact may occur with explosive gasses. Do not touch

the cord or the device with wet hands. There is arisk of electric shock.

5. Pay extra attention if you use the appliance near children.

6. We recommend that you do not leave the air conditioner plugged in

the socket unattended.

7. Place the appliance in vertical position away from other objects

(minimum 50 cm) so that you ensure free circulation of air necessary

for proper operation. Do not place any objects on the appliance. Never

cover the openings of the appliance!

8. Do not use the appliance with timers, remote control systems and

similar devices. There is arisk of re if the appliance is covered or placed

in awrong position.

9. Do not use the appliance in hot places (direct sunlight, close to stove,

heater, etc.).

10. Do not place the appliance on soft surfaces, like abed or asofa, etc. It

must be placed on astable and level surface.

11. Do not use the device without the air lter or without the grill! Be

careful when removing the air lter to prevent an injury.

12. If you are installing exhaust hose, make sure that the connection is

correct. The hose must not be twisted or deformed.

13. Do not direct the ow of air on pets and owers. Do not spray insecticides

or ammable sprays on the device. Do not direct the airow at stoves,

ovens, etc. Protect your skin and eyes from long-term eects of cold air.

14. If the device emits an unusual smell or smoke, switch it o immediately

and call service.

15. Do not turn the appliance on or o by plugging or unplugging the

power cord. Turn it o always using the main switch rst then you can

unplug the power supply cable from the socket!

16. Disconnect the cord from the electrical outlet prior to any maintenance.

Do not remove the power cord from the outlet by yanking the cord.

Unplug the power cord from the outlet by grasping the plug.

17. Do not use other than recommended cleaning products.

18. Do not allow the power cord to touch hot surfaces or run the cord over

sharp edges.

19. Do not insert ngers or other objects into the openings of the appliance.

20. Use this appliance only in accordance with the instructions in this

manual. The manufacturer is not liable for any damage caused by the

improper use of this appliance.

21. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and older and

people with reduced physical or mental abilities or lack of experience

and knowledge, if they are supervised or have been instructed to use

the product in asafe manner and understand the potential dangers.

Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance

by the user must not be done by children unless they are older than 8

years old and under supervision. Children under the age of 8 shall keep

away from the appliance and its power supply.

22. Do not use the appliance in wet places where agas leak or contact with

an explosive atmosphere could occur. Store the appliance in aroom

where there are no sources of ignition (e.g. open re, gas appliance in

operation, electric heating system in operation).

23. Do not pierce or burn through components containing the coolant.

The air conditioner contains coolant R-290 (propane) natural gas,

which is very environmentally friendly but ammable. When installing

the appliance, make sure that no part of the cooling circuit is damaged.

In case of damage prevent re and thoroughly air the areas in which

the device is located.

1. On/O switch

Press the button to turn the air conditioner on or o.

2. “Sleep" button (night mode)

This button only works in cooling mode. Pressing this button automatically reduces the fan speed to

aminimum. However, their speed cannot be manually controlled.

3. Fan speed button

Use this button to select high or low air ow speed.

4. Up/down buttons to set temperature or time.

Set temperature using these buttons in the cooling mode. In timer mode, you set the on/o time By

simultaneously pressing both buttons (on the panel) you can switch between displaying the temperature

in Celsius or Fahrenheit.

5. Mode selection button

Press the specic button on the remote control to select between cooling, air ow and dehumidication

modes.

6. Timer button

In standby mode, press to set the time the appliance is switched on. Press the button in the switched-on

state to set the switch-o time of the appliance.

7. Display showing temperature/time (appliance panel)

This window shows the set temperature and time.

8. Remote control sensor (appliance panel)

The sensor receives signals transmitted by remote control.

9. Button to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit scale (remote controller)

Press the button to switch between temperature scales.

PLACEMENT AND INSTALLATION

Placement

Place the appliance on alevel oor near awindow.

To ensure good air circulation and optimum performance, there

should be at least 50 cm of free space around the appliance.

Window seal assembly

Remove dirt from the window frame and sash before installation.

Stick the Velcro around the perimeter of the window frame so that the window can close after the sealing has

been attached.

3. Attach the Velcro tape to the front of the sash (in most cases 1 cm wide) or to the inner surface of the sash

(on which the window handles are attached).

4. First attach side A, then side B, starting from the center and continuing left and right.

5. IMPORTANT! When attaching, the point Amust be exactly opposite the point B.

6. It is best to open the Velcro in the position marked with «S» and attach the air outlet hose.

• When closing the window, always be careful not to squash the seal.

• The seal is intended for use with windows with amaximum circumference of 400 cm.

Cleaning and maintenance

The seal can be machine washed at 30 ° C

Do not use aggressive cleaners.

Assembly of the sealing strip

1. Measure the window size

2. Adjust the length of the sealing strip so as to t the size of the window. After determining the length of the

sealing strip, x the set size using screw A.

3. Install the strip with xed length in the window.

4. Screw (counterclockwise) the exhaust hose assembly with the round connector to the hot air exhaust on

the rear side of the air conditioner B.

5. Insert the exhaust hose assembly into the window sealing strip with at neck and secure with screws C.

Beware of faulty installation:

• Good throughput on the exhaust hose is very important. Incorrect installation

aects the performance of the air conditioner.

• Avoid excessive bending of the exhaust hose during installation.

• Ensure smooth airow through the hose.

Warning:

The length of the exhaust hose was specially designed for this model. Do not

replace the hose arbitrarily or extend it since this could easily lead to impaired

function or failure of air conditioning.

Note:

Maximum stretched length of the exhaust hose is 1,5 m. Try to keep the length as short as possible during the

operation. We recommend that the hose is installed as straight as possible.

Remote controller

Insert batteries into remote control before use:

1. Push to remove the cover of the battery compartment.

2. Insert two new alkaline batteries. Observe the correct battery polarity as

marked in the battery compartment.

3. Replace the battery space cover.

Note:

Use exclusively alkaline batteries in the remote control. Do not use rechargeable batteries or other battery

types.

Replace both batteries in the same time. Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of dierent types

together.

If you do not intend to use the air conditioner for an extended period of time, remove the batteries from the

remote control.

Warning:

In the event of battery leakage, wipe the battery compartment so as to prevent corrosion inside the remote

control. Be careful. Electrolyte is acaustic substance and can cause skin burns or other health hazards. In case

of contact with skin or clothing, rinse the contact place immediately with plenty of water. In case of accidental

ingestion, consult aphysician.

USING THE APPLIANCE

Note: The operating status in cooling mode depends on the ambient temperature: When the ambient

temperature reaches the value selected on the unit, the cooling function is switched o and only the

fan continues to operate. If the ambient temperature rises above the set value, the cooling function

switches on again.

Cooling and air ow mode

• By default, the air conditioner is in cooling mode when switched on. You can also change the air conditioner

in the cooling mode using modes button 5. The cooling indicator is on.

• Using the 4 buttons(up and down arrows) set the required temperature in the range 16 °C to 30 °C.

• Press the air speed button 3 to select between low, medium and high air ow speed.

Airow mode

• Press the mode button 5 on the control panel or the proper button 5 on the remote control to select

airow mode. The airow indicator is on.

• Press the air speed button 3 to select between low, medium and high air ow speed.

Dehumidication mode

• Press the mode button 5 on the control panel or the proper button 5 on

the remote control to select dehumidication mode. The dehumidication

indicator is on.

• As shown in the picture, remove the plug from the condensation drain 9

and insert hose into the outlet. Put the other end of the hose in asuitable

container or asink.

• In dehumidication mode, if the room temperature is above 17 ° C, the

air conditioning compressor will start operating. The operation is then

controlled as follows: When the temperature in the room drops below 15 °C,

the compressor stops. When the temperature rises again above 15⁰C, the

compressor starts again. If the compressor’s turn o and on time interval

is less than 3 minutes, a three-minute delay is included to protect the

compressor from restarting.

• In dehumidication mode, the fan runs implicitly at low speed and the air ow rate cannot be adjusted.

• Temperature cannot be set.

Tip: When using the dehumidifying function remove the exhaust hose from the air conditioner. Otherwise,

the dehumidication is not eective or the “FL” alarm is displayed to indicate that the water tank has been

lled.

Timer mode

• In the standby mode you can press the timer button 6 to set using the arrows 4 time to start the air

conditioning (1~24h). The timer indicator will light up.

• When turned on you can press the timer button 6 to set using arrows 4 time to shut o the air

conditioning (1~24h). The timer indicator will light up.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Emptying the water tank

The appliance has an automatic water evaporation system. The circulation of condensed water cools the

evaporator. This not only increases the eciency of cooling, but also saves energy.

When the water container is full the display shows message “FL” accompanied by acoustic alarm. The

compressor stops working automatically. In this case, water should be poured out. Proceed as follows:

1. Disconnect the appliance from power and remove the exhaust hose assembly.

2. Place the air conditioner in asuitable place.

3. Remove the drain plug and drain the water from the appliance.

4. Carefully replace the drain plug.

5. Replace the exhaust hose and turn on the air conditioning.

Maintenance

Warning: Turn o the appliance and disconnect it from power before cleaning and maintenance to prevent

injury by electric shock!

Cleaning the external surface

1. Unplug the power cable from the electrical outlet.

2. Wipe it with ane cloth. Do not use gasoline, thinner or other chemicals for cleaning. These substances can

damage the surface of the appliance and deform the plastic parts.

3. Protect the appliance from water getting in.

Cleaning the lter

We recommend to clean the lter every 14 days. In case of polluted air, the cleaning frequency should be

increased. When the lter is gradually clogged with dust, the eciency of air conditioning is reduced. When

cleaning, do the following:

1. Remove the input grid and then the lter as shown.

2. Place the lter in aneutral detergent solution or warm water (approx. 40 ° C) and allow it to dry in the

shade after washing.

3. Replace the clean lter back. Turn on the air conditioning and use it as usual.

Notes:

• Do not use excessively hot water (ideal temperature approx. 40 ° C) and aggressive cleaners (alcohol,

gasoline, thinners) to clean the lter.

• Protect the lter from heat to prevent its deformation and allow it to dry freely.

• Do not operate the appliance without inserted lter.

If the lter is not too dirty, you can remove the dust with avacuum cleaner.

Wash heavily soiled lter with warm water.

Seasonal maintenance

If you are not using the appliance for longer time do the following seasonal maintenance:

1. Remove the drain plug and drain the water from the appliance.

2. Allow the appliance to run in air ow mode for 2 hours until the interior has completely dried.

3. Switch o and unplug the appliance.

4. Clean the lter and replace it.

5. Remove the exhaust hose with accessories and store everything carefully.

6. Remove batteries from the remote controller.

7. Place the appliance in aplastic bag and store it in acool, dry place.

Do the following after long term storage of the appliance before using it again:

1. Make sure that the lter and drain plug are in place.

2. Check the power cord for any damage. Do not use the appliance when it is damaged.

3. Insert batteries in the remote control.

4. Reinstall all accessories according to the installation instructions.

Common problems and their diagnostics

Intelligent detection of defects

7. Gerät vertikal aufstellen, und zwar außer Reichweite von anderen

eine richtige Funktionsfähigkeit zu gewährleisten. Stellen Sie keine

Gegenstände auf das Gerät. Verdecken Sie niemals die Geräteönungen!

8. Gerät nicht mit Zeitschaltern, Fernschaltungssystemen und sonstigen

Vorrichtungen verwenden. Falls das Gerät verdeckt oder ungeeignet

platziert wurde, besteht das Risiko einer Brandgefahr.

mit Insektiziden oder brennbaren Sprays bespritzen. Luftstrom niemals

auf Kochherde, Öfen u.ä. richten. Haut und Augen vor langfristiger

Einwirkung kühler Luft schützen.

14. Wird vom Gerät ungewöhnlicher Geruch oder Rauch abgegeben,

Gerät unverzüglich vom Stromnetz trennen und einen Fachservice

kontaktieren.

15. Gerät niemals durch das Einstecken/Herausziehen des Steckers ein-

oder ausschalten. Gerät zunächst am Hauptschalter ausschalten.

Anschließend können Sie das Gerätekabel aus der Steckdose ziehen!

16. Vor der Wartung Stromkabel aus der Steckdose ziehen. Ziehen Sie nicht

am Kabel, um den Stecker aus der Steckdose zu ziehen. Ziehen Sie am

Stecker, um das Kabel aus der Steckdose zu ziehen.

17. Benutzen Sie zur Reinigung nur empfohlene Reinigungsmittel.

sind außer Reichweite des Gerätes und Stromkabels zu halten.

22. Gerät niemals in einer feuchten Umgebung oder in Räumen benutzen

in denen Gas entkommen könnte oder Kontakt mit einer explosiven

Atmosphäre droht. Lagern Sie das Gerät in einem Raum, in dem

Zündquellen nicht dauerhaft in Betrieb sind (z.B. oenes Feuer,

eingeschaltete Gasgeräte, eingeschaltete elektrische Heizanlagen).

23. Gerät, die das Kühlmedium enthalten, sollten weder durchstochen

noch durchgebrannt werden.

Dieses Gerät enthält das Kühlmedium R-290 (Propan) natürliches

Erdgas, das zwar äußerst umweltfreundlich, aber brennbar ist. Bei der

Installation ist dafür zu sorgen, dass kein Abschnitt des Kühlkreislaufes

beschädigt wird. Wurde der Kühlkreislauf beschädigt, beugen Sie

einem Brand vor und sorgen dafür, dass die Räume, in denen sich das

Gerät bendet, gut ausgelüftet werden.

Das Gerät muss in einem Raum installiert, betrieben und gelagert

werden, dessen Bodenäche größer als 4 m

ist.

1. Schalter

Klimaanlage mit Taste ein- oder ausschalten.

2. Taste "Sleep" (Nachtmodus)

Diese Taste kann nur im Kühlmodus aktiviert werden. Mit dieser Taste werden die Drehzahlen des

Ventilators automatisch auf ein Minimum reduziert. Ihre Geschwindigkeit kann jedoch nicht manuell

reguliert werden.

3. Geschwindigkeitstaste

Mit dieser Taste kann eine hohe oder niedrige Luftströmung eingestellt werden.

4. Taste nach oben/unten zur Einstellung von Temperatur oder Zeit

Im Kühlmodus können Sie mit der Taste die gewünschte Temperatur einstellen. Im Timer-Modus können Sie

die gewünschte Einschalt- und Ausschaltzeit einstellen. Durch das Drücken beider Tasten (Gerätepaneel)

können Sie die Temperaturanzeige ändern (Celsius oder Fahrenheit).

5. Taste zur Auswahl des gewünschten Modus

Mit dieser Taste wählen Sie auf der Fernbedienung zwischen dem Kühl-, Luftströmungs- und

Entfeuchtungsmodus.

6. Timer-Taste

Durch das Drücken der Taste im Standby-Modus können Sie die gewünschte Einschaltzeit des Gerätes

einstellen. Durch das Drücken der Taste im eingeschalteten Zustand können Sie die gewünschte

Ausschaltzeit des Gerätes einstellen.

7. Display mit Anzeige von Temperatur/Zeit (Gerätepaneel)

Dieses Fenster zeigt die eingestellte Temperatur und Zeit an.

8. Fernsteuerungs-Sensor (Gerätepaneel)

Der Sensor empfängt Signale, die von der Fernbedienung entsendet werden.

9. Mit dieser Taste können Sie zwischen Celsius und Fahrenheit auswählen (Fernbedienung)

Mit dieser Taste wählen Sie zwischen einzelnen Temperaturskalen aus.

PLATZIERUNG UND INSTALLATION

Speicherort

Gerät auf eine gerade Fläche nahe des Fensters platzieren.

Um eine ausreichende Luftzirkulation und eine optimale Leistung

zu gewährleisten, sollte rund um das Gerät etwa 50 cm Freiraum

gelassen werden.

Zusammenstellung der Fenster-Dichtungsleiste:

Entfernen Sie vor der Installation sämtliche Unreinheiten vom

Fensterrahmen und dem Fensterügel.

Der Klettverschluss rund um den Fensterrahmen muss so aufgeklebt werden, damit das Fenster nach dem

Anbringen der Dichtung geönet werden kann.

1. Markieren Sie die Mitte (M) der Fensterdichtung (Bild 1)

2. Markieren Sie die Mitte des Fensterrahmens und des Fensterügels (Bild 2-4).

- Bild 2 zeigt ein oenes Fenster

- Bild 3 zeigt ein gekipptes Fenster

- Bild 4 zeigt ein oenes Dachfenster

3. Kleben Sie das Band mit Klettverschluss an die Vorderseite (in den meisten Fällen 1 cm breit) des

Fensterügels oder die innere Flügeläche (wo sich die Fenstergrie benden).

4. Befestigen Sie zunächst die Seite A, danach die Seite B. Beginnen Sie von der Mitte und fahren danach mit

der linken und rechten Seite fort.

5. WICHTIG! Beim Befestigen muss Punkt Agegenüber Punkt Bliegen.

6. Önen Sie den Klettverschluss am besten in einer Position, die mit dem Symbol «S» markiert ist. Befestigen

Sie den Auspuschlauch.

• Achten Sie beim Schließen des Fensters darauf, dass Sie die Dichtung nicht einklemmen.

• Die Dichtung ist für Fenster mit einem max. Umfang von 400 cm bestimmt.

Reinigung und Wartung

Die Dichtung kann in der Waschmaschine bei 30 °C gewaschen werden.

Benutzen Sie keine aggressiven Reinigungsmittel.

Zusammensetzen der Dichtungsleiste

1. Fenster abmessen.

2. Länge der Dichtungsleiste gemäß Fenster anpassen. Sobald Sie die Länge der Dichtungsleiste bestimmt

haben, xieren Sie das eingestellte Ausmaß mit einer Schraube A.

3. Leiste mit xierter Länge im Fenster installieren.

4. Auspuschlauch-Set mit Hilfe eines runden Konnektors am Warmluft-Ausgang auf der Rückseite der

Klimaanlage anschrauben (entgegengesetzt dem Uhrzeigersinn) B.

5. Auspuschlauch-Set mit achem Stutzen in die Dichtungsleiste des Fensters einsetzen und mit Schrauben

xieren C.

Falsche Installation:

• Eine problemlose Durchgängigkeit des Auspuschlauches ist sehr wichtig. Eine

falsche Installationsweise beeinusst den eektiven Betrieb der Klimaanlage.

• Meiden Sie bei der Installation eine übermäßige Biegung des

Auspuschlauches.

• Sorgen Sie dafür, dass durch den Schlauch kontinuierlich Luft strömt.

Hinweis:

Die Länge des Auspuschlauches wurde speziell für dieses Modell entworfen.

Schlauch niemals eigenmächtig auswechseln oder verlängern, da hierdurch die Funktionsweise der

Klimaanlage beeinträchtigt werden oder diese komplett versagen könnte.

Bemerkung:

Die maximale Länge des Auspuschlauches beträgt 1,5 Meter. Bemühen Sie sich darum, während des

Betriebes den Schlauch möglichst kurz zu halten. Wir empfehlen den Schlauch bei der Installation möglichst

gerade zu führen.

Fernbedienung

Vor der Verwendung Batterien in die Fernbedienung hineinlegen:

1. Batteriefachdeckel verschieben und abnehmen.

2. Zwei neue alkalischen Batterien hineinlegen. Achten Sie auf die richtige

Polarität der Batterie, die im Batteriefach gekennzeichnet ist.

3. Deckel des Batteriefaches erneut aufsetzen.
