Thank you for purchasing this SENZ SMADRIGAL DAB+/FM radio.

Please read the instructions and warnings carefully before use, to ensure safe and

satisfactory operation of this product.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Read all the instructions carefully before using the unit and keep them for

future reference.

Check that the voltage marked on the rating label matches your mains

voltage.

The unit must be placed on a ﬂat stable surface and should not be subjected

to vibrations.

Do not place the unit on sloped or unstable surfaces as the unit may fall oﬀ or

tip over.

The mains socket must be located near the unit and should be easily

accessible.

Avoid extreme degrees of temperature, either hot or cold. Place the unit well

away from heat sources such as radiators or gas/electric ﬁres.

Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and other sources of heat.

Never place any type of candle or naked ﬂame on the top of or near the unit.

To reduce the risk of ﬁre, electric shock or product damage, do not expose this

unit to rain, moisture, dripping or splashing. No objects ﬁlled with liquids, such

as vases, should be placed on the unit.

If you spill any liquid into the unit, it can cause serious damage. Switch it oﬀ at

the mains immediately. Withdraw the mains plug and consult your dealer.

To prevent the risk of electric shock or ﬁre hazard due to overheating, ensure

that curtains and other materials do not obstruct the ventilation vents.

Safety

Always disconnect the unit from the mains supply before connecting/

disconnecting other devices or moving the unit.

Unplug the unit from the mains socket during a lightning storm.

This unit will become warm when used for a long period of time.

This is normal and does not indicate a problem with the unit.

Mains Adapter

Make sure the unit is not resting on top of the mains adapter cable, as the

weight of the unit may damage the cable and create a safety hazard.

If the mains adapter is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its

service agent, or similarly qualiﬁed persons in order to avoid a hazard.

Interference

Do not place the unit on or near appliances which may cause electromagnetic

interference. If you do, it may adversely aﬀect the operating performance

of the unit, and cause a distorted sound.

Supervision

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the unit.

Never let anyone especially children push anything into the holes, slots or any

other openings in the case - this could result in a fatal electric shock.

Service/Maintenance

To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove screws. The unit does not

contain any user serviceable parts. leave all maintenance work to qualiﬁed

person.

Do not open any ﬁxed covers as this may expose dangerous voltages.

Ensure to unplug the unit from the mains socket before cleaning.

Do not use any type of abrasive pad or abrasive cleaning solutions as these

may damage the unit's surface.

Do not use liquids to clean the unit.

Earphones

Listening to loud sounds for prolonged periods of time may permanently

damage your hearing.

Before putting on earphones, turn the volume down then put the earphones

on and slowly increase the volume until you reach a comfortable listening

level.

USING YOUR DAB+/FM RADIO

1. Turn on the unit

Press the Power rotary button to turn on or turn oﬀ.

2. Switch between dab,fm,Bluetooth, usb,AUX-IN, mode

Press Source button repeatedly to select between dab,fm,Bluetooth, usb,AUX-IN, mode.

3. Basic Operation

3.1 DAB+ radio mode

DAB+ radio mode receives DAB+ digital radio and displays information about the station

and programme/track as broadcast.

3.1.1 Reset and scan DAB+ station

When this is the ﬁrst time you use, or if the station list is empty, the radio automatically

performs a full scan to see what stations are available. You may also need to start a scan

manually to update the list of stations for one of the following reasons:

• New stations may become available from time to time.

• Stations close or can no longer be received (In the station list, invalid stations are

indicated with a question mark in front of their name).

• If reception was not good for the original scan (for example the antenna was not up),

this may result in an empty or incomplete list of available stations.

• If you have poor reception of some stations causing the audio to break up, you may

wish to list only stations with good signal strength.

To do a full scan manually

In DAB+ mode, press “menu” button until the screen showing

<Full Scan> and then Select, or press “Scan” Button, it will turn to full scan. Once a scan is

complete, the radio returns to playing the previously-selected station or the ﬁrst station

the station list.

3.1.2 Select stations

In DAB+ mode, TURN “Tune-” or “Tune+” to select through the list of stations. Stop at

your preferred station, then press “Select” It will be tuned automatically within a second.

Note: During the search, operation of the sound level will be muted automatically.

3.1.3 Adjust volume

Turn the volume “rotary” button clockwise or anti-clockwise to increase or decrease

volume respectively.

3.1.4 MEMORY:

The Memory settings allow you to select the DAB+ radio with a variety of your favorite

stations suitable for you. Choose a station and press and hold “Memory” button for 2

seconds to adjust the NO. By tuner “rotable Knob”, and then Press “Select” .

3.2 FM radio mode

FM radio mode receives analogue radio from the FM band and displays RDS (Radio Data

System) information about the station and show (where broadcast).

While FM radio is playing, the screen shows its frequency, or if RDS information is

available, station name and any further 'RadioText' information is shown.

If no information is available, just the frequency and a<No RadioText> message is shown.

3.2.1 Scan FM station

In FM mode, you can also tune the station manually. Turn the “tune-” or “tune+” knob to

adjust the FM frequencies with 0.05MHz down or up respectively.

If turn the “tune-” or “tune+”knob, it will scan to previous or next station. (for details see

Scan settings in section 4.2.1 Settings).

3.2.2 Adjust volume

Turn the volume “rotary” button clockwise or anti-clockwise to increase or decrease

volume respectively.

3.2.3 MEMORY:

The Memory settings allow you to select the FM radio with a variety of your favorite

stations suitable for you. Choose a station and press and hold “Memory” button for 2

seconds to adjust the NO. By turn the tuner rotable Knob, and then Press “Select” .

3.3 Bluetooth mode

Press the “power” knob to turn on the device and then press “Source” button to change

to Bluetooth mode.Turn on the Bluetooth function on your mobile device and look for

“SENZ SMADRIGAL ” in the Bluetooth device list. After successfully connecting, adjust

the volume on your audio device to the desired volume level.

3.4 Aux-in Mode

Press the “power” knob to turn on the device and then press “Source” button to change to

AUX-IN mode.Use a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to connect the speaker to an audio

source.You can play music from the audio source.

4. Advance settings

The Advance settings allow you to tailor the DAB+/FM radio with a variety of options to

suit you. To access Advance settings from any mode, press “Menu” button to enter the

menu.

4.1 DAB+ radio mode

Under the advance setting, turn the“Tune-” or “Tune+” to select through the list of menu,

stop at your preferred option, it will be enter or start the function automatically within a

second. The advance setting menu options are:

• Full scan • Manual tune • DRC

•Prune •TA • System

4.1.1 Full scan

Under advance setting,turn“Tune-” or “Tune+” to ﬁnd Full scan through the list of menu,

then press “ select” to select. Full scan starts automatically after 3 seconds. Once a scan is

complete, the radio returns to playing the previously- selected station or ﬁrst station on

the station list.

Note: If no radio station found, it shows No DAB Station. For a better reception, extend

the antenna or do the full scan again in another place.

4.1.2 Manual tune

As well as the normal method of scanning, you can also manually tune to a particular

channel/frequency. This can be useful for adjusting your antenna to achieve the best

possible reception and scanning a particular channel to update the station list.

Under advance setting, TURN“Tune-” or “Tune+” to ﬁnd Manual tune through the list of

menu, then press “SELECT” to select. Then turn “Tune-” or “Tune+” to select a particular

channel/frequency.

The display shows a live indication of the received signal strength on the

selected frequency. Adjustments to your antenna will be manifested in the

received signal strength displayed.

4.1.3 DRC (Dynamic range compression)

This function reduces the diﬀerence between the loudest and quietest audio being

broadcast. Eﬀectively, this makes quiet sounds comparatively louder, and loud sounds

comparatively quieter.Options: oﬀ(default) | low | high

Under advance setting, TURN “Tune-” or “Tune+” to DRC through the list of menu, then

press “select” to select. Then TURN “Tune-” or “Tune+” to select particular setting.

Note: DRC only works if it is enabled by the broadcaster for a speciﬁc station.

4.1.4 Prune (remove stations that are listed but unavailable)

This removes all invalid stations indicated in the station list with a '?' in front of the station

name.

Under advance setting, TURN “Tune-” or “Tune+” to ﬁnd Prune through the list of menu,

then press “Select” to select. Then TURN “Tune-” or “Tune+” to choose

<YES> then press “SELECT” to conﬁrm removing all invalid stations, it will automatically

start the process after 3 seconds.

4.1.5 TA (Traﬃc Alarm)

Under advance setting, TURN “Tune-” or “Tune+” to TA through the list of menu, then

press “Select” to select. Then press “Tune-” or “Tune+” to choose “on” or “oﬀ” to open or

close this function.

4.1.6 System

The System menu options are:

• Sleep • Alarm • Time • Backlight

• Language • Factory Reset • SW version

Note: As you go through the possible values, an asterisk (*) appearing to the

right-hand side of the display indicates the currently selected value for each setting.

4.1.6.1 Sleep

Press MENU button into Menu <System>, turn tuner rotable knob to cycle through

option s until you locate “sleep” and Press Select knob to select.

You can set your radio to turn oﬀ automatically using the sleep timer. You can choose

from Sleep oﬀ, 15, 30, 45，60 and 90 minutes.

4.1.6. 2 Alarm

1. press MENU button into Menu <System>, Turn Tuner knob to cycle through options

until you locate “Alarm Setting”. Then Press the Select control inwards to selection.

2. Press the Select to Alarm1 Set, turn tuner knob to selection Alarm1 “On”, Press Select

to conﬁrm.

3. Press Select knob to set “hh”, Flash “hh”, Press tuner knob to select “hh”, Press Select

to conﬁrm.

4. Press Select to set “mm”, Flash “mm” Press tuner knob to select “mm”, Press Select

knob to conﬁrm.

5. Press Select to set “duration”, turn tuner knob to choose from 15 30,45, 60,90

minutes; Press tuner knob to Select knob to conﬁrm.

6. Press Select knob to Select between Buzzer, DAB, FM,USB. Press Select knob to

conﬁrm.

7. Press select knob to select the alarm occurrence. Select between Once, Daily, Week day

or Weekend, then press the SELECT to conﬁrm

8. Press Slect Knob to select Alarm on or oﬀ and ﬁnish Alarm1 setting.

Note:<Alarm2 Setting> same as <Alarm1 Setting>

Snooze

When the alarm sounds, Press SELECT knob to keep Snoozing another 9 minutes.

Stop Alarms

When the alarm sounds, press the power knob to stop;

Time

In the Time menu, you can set the Time and Date.

Set the time by using the “Tune-” or “Tune+” knob and conﬁrm by pressing “Select" Set

the date by using the “Tune-” or “Tune+” knob and conﬁrm by pressing “Select" It will be

showed Time saved in the display.

In the Time menu, you can select other parameter by using the “Tune-” or “Tune+” knob.

Set the time and date update method: Update from Any / Update from DAB+ / Update

from FM / No update and then press “select” to conﬁrm

Set the 12 /24 hour: Set 24 hour / Set 12 hour and then press “select” to conﬁrm Set

date format: DD/MM/YYYY/MM/DD/YYYY and then press “select” to conﬁrm

4.1.6.3 Backlight

Follow the below instructions to select the backlight menu. The sections after explain

each setting.

1. Press the Menu button

2. When the 'Full Scan(DAB)or ' Scan Setting(FM) option appears press tuner knob to cycle

through the menu options until you locate 'system'. Press the Select knob to select

Timeout:

1. Use tuner knob to locate the Timeout option and press the Select knob

2. Use tuner knob to cycle through options 10-180 seconds

On level

Following backlight setting 1-3steps

4. Use tuner knob to locate the On level option and press the Select knob

5. Use tuner knob to cycle through Low,medium or High

6. Press the Select knob to store the setting

7. The Low ,medium or High backlight brightness level will be eﬀective immediately and

restore the default backlight level according to the selected Timeout option.

Dim level

Following backlight setting1-3steps

4. Use tuner knob to locate the 'Dim level option and press the Select knob.

5. Use tuner knob to cycle through Low,medium or High

6. Press the Select knob to store the setting.

7. The Low,medium or High backlight brightness level will be eﬀective according to the

selected Timeout option.

4.1.6.4 Language

The language used for display messages can be selected from below options:

English|NORSK|Svenska|Dansk|Suormi/

Cycle through Language menu by turn “Tune-” or “Tune+” Rotable knob to select and

stop at a particular language by pressing “Select” .

4.1.6.5 Factory reset

A factory reset clears all user deﬁned settings, replacing them with the original default

values, so time/date, preferences/settings, DAB+ station list and preset stations are all

lost.

If you select <Factory reset>, you are asked to conﬁrm by selecting <YES>. Under

advance setting, Turn the “Tune-” or “Tune+” Rotable knob to select “Factory reset”

through the list of menu, you are asked to conﬁrm by selecting <YES>.

4.1.6.6 SW version

This displays the current software version.

Cycle through the menu, turn “Tune-“ ,“Tune+” Rotable Knob to ﬁnd “SW version”

through the list of menu, then press “Select” to select.

4.1.7 Info

You can view further information when the unit is working under DAB mode. Press

Info/menu Button repeatedly and you can have options include:

• DLS (Dynamic Label Segment – short text information broadcast with DAB+ audio)

• Signal Strength

• PTY (Programme Type)

• Ensemble

• Frequency

• Signal Quality

• Bitrate codec

• Time

• Date

4.2 FM radio mode

Under the advance setting, Turrn “Tune-” or “Tune+” to select through the list of menu,

stop at your preferred option, it will be enter or start the function automatically within a

second. The advance setting menu options are:

• Scan setting

• Audio setting

• System (please refer to 4.1.6)

4.2.1 Scan setting

By default, FM scans stop at any available station (All stations). This may result in poor

quality audio from weak stations.

Options: All stations | Strong stations only

Turn “Tune-” or “Tune+” then press “select” to select a particular option in Scan setting, .

4.2.2 Audio setting

By default, all stereo stations are reproduced in stereo. For weak stations, this may result

in poor quality audio. The audio quality can be improved using mono. Options: Stereo

allowed | Forced mono

Turn “Tune-” or “Tune+” then press “select” to select a particular option in Audio setting.

4.2.3 System

Please refer to 4.1.6

4.2.4 Info

You can view further information when the unit is working under FM mode. Press

Info/menu Button repeatedly and you can have options include:

• Radio Text

• PTY (Programme Type)

• PS (Programme Service)

• Stereo & Mono

• Time

• Date

4.3 Bluetooth mode:

Under the advance setting, Turrn “Tune-” or “Tune+” to select through the list of menu,

stop at your preferred option. The advance setting menu options are:

• System (please refer to 4.1.6)

• Bluetooth Pair Name: SENZ SMADRIGAL

4.4 Aux-in mode:

Under the advance setting, turn “Tune-” or “Tune+” to select through the list of menu,

stop at your preferred option. The advance setting menu options are:

4.5 USB mode:

Under the advance setting, Turn “Tune-” or “Tune+” to select through the list of menu,

stop at your preferred option. The advance setting menu options are:

TROUBLE SHOOTING

Problem Solution

No sound

- The station is not tuned in. Fine tune the station.

- The volume is set to a low position. Increase the volume.

Headphones may be connected. Disconnect the headphones

Buttons a not working Turn o the unit and turn on again after a few seconds.

Station not found Weak signal. Use the manual tune function.

FM: Hiss

DAB+: burbling/intermittent

3.1 DAB+ radio modus

3.2 FM radio modus

FM radio modus mottar analog radio fra de FM bånd og viser RDS (Radiodata System)

informasjon Om de stasjon og forestilling (hvor kringkaste).

Samtidig som FM radio er leker, de skjerm viser det er Frekvens, eller hvis RDS informasjon

er tilgjengelig, stasjon Navn og noen lengre "Radiotekst" informasjon er vist.

3.2.1 Skann FM stasjon

3.3 blåtann modus

blåtann modus.Snu på de blåtann funksjon på din mobil enhet og se til "SENZ SMADRIGAL

3.4 Aux-inn Modus

De Avansere innstillinger tillate du til skredder de DAB+/FM radio med en variasjon av

alternativer til dress du. Til adgang Avansere innstillinger fra noen modus, trykk "Meny"

knapp til Tast inn de Meny.

4.1 DAB+ radio modus

Under de avansere omgivelser, vri på "Tune-" eller «Tune+» til å velge gjennom de liste i

menyen, stopp ved ditt foretrukne alternativ, vil det gå inn eller starte funksjonen

4.1.1 Full skanning

Under avansereinnstilling, drei "Tune-" eller «Tune+» tilﬁnne Full skanninggjennom de

liste over Meny, derettertrykk " å velge" til å velge. Full skanning starter automatisk etter 3

sekunder. En gang en skanning er fullstendig, de radio returnerer til spiller de tidligere

valgt stasjon eller først stasjon på de stasjon liste.

Merk: Hvis Nei radio stasjon funnet, den viser Nei DAB Stasjon. Til en bedre mottak,

forlenge de antenne eller gjøre de full skanning en gang til i en annen plass.

4.1.2 Håndbok melodi

I tillegg til den vanlige metoden for skanning, kan du også manuelt stille inn på en

velge en bestemt kanal/frekvens.

De vise viser en bo indikasjon av de mottatt signal styrke på de valgt frekvens.

Justeringer til din antenne vil være manifestert i de mottatt signalstyrke vises.

4.1.3 DRC (Dynamisk område komprimering)
