7. Use the right tool. Do not force small tools or attachments to do the job of a heavy duty tool. Do
not use tools for purposes not intended.
8. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery; they can be caught in moving parts.
Non-skid footwear are recommended when working outdoors. Long hair should be tied up.
9. Always wear eye and ear protection. Also use face or dust mask if the operation is dusty.
10. If the tool can be connected to a dust extraction or collection facilities, ensure that they are
properly connected and used.
11. Do not abuse the cord. Never yank the cord to disconnect it from the socket. Keep the cord
away from heat, oil and sharp edges.
12. Secure work. Use clamps or a vice to hold the work. It is safer than using your hand and it frees
both hands to operate the tool.
13. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
14. Maintain tools with care. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean for better and safer performance.
Follow instructions for lubrication and changing accessories. Inspect tool cord periodically and
if damaged have it repaired by an authorized service center. Inspect extension cords periodically
and replace if damaged. Keep handles dry, clean and free from oil and grease.
15. Disconnect tools always when not in use, before servicing and when changing accessories such
as cutters.
16. Remove adjusting keys and wrenches. Form the habit of checking to see that keys and adjusting
wrenches are removed from the tool before turning it on.
17. Avoid unintentional starting. Ensure switch is off when plugging it in.
18. When operating the tool outdoors, only use extension cables suitable for outdoor use. Check the
extension cable for necessary markings for outdoor use.
19. Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating the tool. Do not use
the machine when you are tired, sick or under the influence of alcohol, drugs, medication or
similar that could affect your ability to use the machine safely.
20. Check the tool for damages. If you notice any damages in the tool, in its guards or other parts,
do not use it until it has been repaired in an authorized service center. Check for alignment of
moving parts, free running of moving parts, breakage of parts, mounting and any other condi-
tions that may affect the tool operation. Damaged parts should be properly repaired or replaced
by an authorized service center unless otherwise indicated in this instruction manual. Have de-
fective switches replaced by an authorized service facility. Do not use the tool if the switch does
not turn it on and off.
21. NOTE! Use only original spare parts and accessories. The use of any other spare parts or acces-
sories than original parts may cause a risk of personal injury.
22. Repairs should only be carried out by an authorized service center using only original spare
parts, otherwise this may result in considerable danger to the user.
23. Never use the machine if the appropriate guard is not in place and correctly adjusted.
24. Do not use blunt cutters as this increases the danger of kickback of workpieces.
25. Any part of the cutterblock not being used for planing should be guarded.
26. Use a push stick when planing narrow or short workpieces.
27. When planing narrow workpieces, additional measures may be necessary to ensure safe work-
ing, for example the use of horizontal pressure devices and spring-loaded guards.
28. Do not use the machine to cut rebate.
29. The effectiveness of the device for the prevention of kickback and the feed roller should be
regularly inspected to ensure safe operation.

1. This machine is designed for wood derivatives. It should not be used for other materials.
2. Read the instruction manual carefully before using the machine and follow all given instructions
to achieve best result and to work in complete safety.
