Lors de l’utilisation de ce broyeur de jardin, des

précautions de sécurité de base doivent être

prises pour réduire le risque d’incendie, de choc

électrique et de blessures. Lisez attentivement

ce broyeur de jardin. Assurez-vous de vous être

familiarisé avec les commandes et l’utilisation

ENTRAÎNEMENT

par les autres personnes se trouvant dans sa

propriété.

PRÉPARATION

1) Ne laissez pas les enfants utiliser cet appareil;

2) Nʼutilisez pas cet appareil en présence de visiteurs;

3) Portez en permanence une protection auditive et

des lunettes de protection lorsque vous utilisez cet

appareil;

4) Evitez de porter des vêtements amples ou ayant des

cordons ou lacets qui pendent;

5) Nʼutilisez cet appareil quʼen extérieur (par ex. à

distance des murs et objets fixes) et sur une surface

plane et dure;

6) Nʼutilisez pas cet appareil sur un sol pavé ou en

gravier où des matériaux pourraient être éjectés et

causer des blessures;

7) Avant de mettre la machine en route, vérifiez que

toutes les vis, tous les écrous, boulons, et toutes les

attaches sont bien serrés et que les carters et écrans

de protection sont bien en place. Remplacez les

étiquettes endommagées ou illisibles;

UTILISATION

1) Avant de mettre la machine en route, vérifiez

lʼentonnoir pour vous assurer quʼil est vide;

2) Gardez votre visage et votre corps éloignés de

lʼouverture de lʼentonnoir;

3) Ne laissez pas vos mains, toute autre partie du

corps ou vos vêtements à lʼintérieur de lʼentonnoir, du

conduit dʼévacuation, ou à proximité de toute partie

mobile;

4) Gardez en permanence un bon appui et un bon

équilibre. Ne travaillez pas en extension. Ne vous

tenez jamais à une hauteur supérieure à la base de

lʼappareil lorsque vous-y introduisez des matières à

broyer;

5) Tenez-vous toujours à lʼécart de la zone dʼévacuation

lors de lʼutilisation de cet appareil;

6) Lors de lʼintroduction de matières dans lʼappareil,

prenez bien garde quʼaucun élément en métal, pierre,

bouteille, boîte de conserve et quʼaucun autre corps

étranger ne soit présent;

7) Si le mécanisme de coupe heurte un objet étranger

ou si lʼappareil commence à émettre des vibrations

ou un bruit suspect, coupez lʼalimentation électrique

ou arrêtez le moteur et débranchez lʼantiparasite et

prenez les mesures suivantes:

- Vérifiez les dommages;

- Resserrez toutes les pièces desserrées;

- Remplacez ou réparez toute pièce endommagée à

lʼaide de pièces aux caractéristiques équivalentes.

8) Ne laissez pas les végétaux broyés sʼaccumuler

au niveau de la zone dʼéjection; lʼéjection normale

pourrait sʼen trouver affectée et des matériaux

pourraient être éjectés par lʼouverture de lʼentonnoir;

9) En cas de bourrage de lʼappareil, débranchez

lʼalimentation électrique ou arrêtez le moteur

et débranchez lʼantiparasite avant dʼen retirer les

débris. Gardez le câble dʼalimentation à distance

des débris et autres accumulations pour éviter de

lʼendommager et de risquer un incendie. Rappelez-

vous quʼactionner le mécanisme de démarrage des

appareils équipés dʼun moteur thermique actionne

également le mécanisme de coupe;

10) Gardez toutes les protections et tous les déflecteurs

en place et en bon état;

11) Ne trafiquez pas les éléments de réglage de la

puissance du moteur; ces éléments contrôlent la

vitesse maximale de sécurité et empêchent

que le moteur et toutes les pièces mobiles soient

endommagés par une vitesse excessive. Contactez

un service après-vente agréé en cas de problème;

12) Ne transportez pas lʼappareil lorsque son moteur est

en route;

13) Arrêtez le moteur et débranchez lʼantiparasite ou

débranchez lʼalimentation électrique lorsque vous

vous éloignez de la zone de travail;

14) Ne penchez pas la machine lorsque le moteur est

en route.

ENTRETIEN ET REMISAGE

1) Lorsque lʼappareil est arrêté pour réparations,

entretien, remisage ou changement dʼaccessoires,

arrêtez le moteur et débranchez lʼantiparasite ou

débranchez lʼalimentation électrique, assurez-vous

que toutes les parties mobiles se sont complètement

arrêtées, et si lʼappareil est équipé dʼune clé de

contact, retirez-la. Laissez lʼappareil refroidir avant

tout examen, réglage, etc.;

2) Lors de lʼentretien des éléments de coupe, soyez

conscient que bien que le moteur ne puisse pas

démarrer grâce au système de verrouillage de

protection, les éléments de coupe peuvent toujours

bouger par lʼintermédiaire du système de démarrage

manuel.

3) Arrêtez le moteur avant de mettre en place ou de

retirer le sac.

SÉCURITÉ ÉLECTRIQUE ET CONFORMITÉ DE

LA PRISE SECTEUR

AVERTISSEMENT !

- Lisez attentivement ces instructions avant de

brancher cet appareil sur le secteur.

Avant la mise en route, assurez-vous que la tension

de votre secteur correspond à celle indiquée sur la

fiche signalétique. Cet appareil est conçu pour être

alimenté par une tension de 230-240V~AC 50Hz.

- Le branchement sur une autre source de courant

pourrait occasionner des dommages.

- Ce broyeur de jardin peut être alimenté par une fiche

surmoulée.

- Au cas où un changement de fusible a été nécessaire,

il est obligatoire de remettre le couvre fusible en

place.

- Si le couvre fusible est perdu ou endommagé,

nʼutilisez pas la fiche avant quʼelle nʼait été

remplacée.

- Si la fiche doit être changée parce quʼelle nʼest pas

compatible avec votre prise ou parce quʼelle a été

endommagée, elle doit être remplacée en suivant les

instructions ci-dessous.

- La vielle fiche doit être jetée de façon sûre, car son

insertion dans une prise secteur de 13 ampères fait

courir un risque électrique.

- Notre broyeur de jardin est livré déjà équipé dʼune

fiche secteur, mais si vous deviez en changer, suivez

les instructions ci-dessous.

- Si le câble dʼalimentation est endommagé, il doit

être remplacé par le fabricant, un de ses agents

de service, ou par une personne aux compétences

similaires afin dʼéviter tout danger.

NOTE: Si une prise surmoulée est en place et doit être

changée, prenez bien garde de la jeter ou de la détruire

ainsi que le câble endommagé aﬁ n que l’on ne puisse plus

s’en servir.

IMPORTANT

La couleur des ﬁ ls secteur est normalisée comme suit:

Bleu — Neutre, Marron — Phase,

Si les couleurs des ﬁ ls du câble d’alimentation de cet

appareil ne correspondent pas à la ﬁ che secteur, procédez

comme suit:

Le ﬁ l bleu doit être relié à la borne marquée d’un N ou de

couleur noire.

Le ﬁ l marron doit être relié à la borne marquée d’un L ou

de couleur rouge.

Si une ﬁ che de 13 ampères (BS 1363) est utilisée, un

fusible de 13 ampères doit y être installé, ou si un autre

type de prise est utilisé, il est nécessaire d’utiliser un

fusible de 13 ampères soit directement dans cette prise

ou dans le tableau électrique.

Assurez-vous que la gaine extérieure du câble est bien

maintenue par la bride de la ﬁ che.

NOTE:

1. Ne laissez-pas les déchets végétaux sʼaccumuler

avant de les broyer, car ils pourraient commencer à

se décomposer, devenir trop humides, et boucher

lʼappareil. Les matières sèches peuvent aider à

dégager le conduit dʼévacuation. Mettez de côté

quelques branchages secs que vous utiliserez en

dernier recours avant dʼavoir à nettoyer la zone de

coupe.

2. Vérifiez régulièrement que les matières broyées ne

sʼaccumulent pas.

3. Ne laissez pas les matières broyées sʼaccumuler et

encombrer le conduit dʼévacuation.

4. Lorsque le bac est plein, arrêtez le broyeur en mettant

lʼinterrupteur On/Off en position Off avant de le vider.

AVERTISSEMENT !

N’introduisez pas vos mains dans le conduit

d’évacuation pour en dégager l’accumulation

de matières broyées tant que le broyeur est en

marche ou branché sur le secteur.

NOTE:

En utilisation normale, n’arrêtez pas le broyeur de jardin

tant qu’il reste encore des matériaux au niveau des lames

de coupe. Si vous l’arrêtez prématurément, les matériaux

résiduels pourraient bloquer les lames et empêcher le

moteur de tourner lors de la remise en route.

MONTAGE

MONTAGE DES ROUES DE TRANSPORT

AVERTISSEMENT !

Il se peut que vous ayez besoin d’aide pour sortir

l’appareil de son emballage et pour l’assembler.

NOTE: Les pieds doivent être dépliés vers le bas pour

donner de la stabilité à lʼappareil.

1. Positionnez le tube dʼaxe entre les deux pieds.

2. Faites passer l'axe à travers les trous d'un des pieds

puis à travers le tube d'axe puis à travers les trous de

l'autre pied (voir figure 4).

3. Mettez en place les rondelles et les bagues des roues

sur chaque extrémité de lʼaxe.

4. Poussez les roues en place de chaque côté de lʼaxe.

5. Mettez en place les rondelles et les écrous de

verrouillage restants sur chaque extrémité de lʼaxe

puis serrez les deux écrous à lʼaide de la clé I et de

la clé II.

Note: Utilisez une clé de chaque côté.

6. Insérez la partie inférieure des pieds dans les trous

des pieds, puis serrez les vis (voir figure 5).

NOTE: Les roues doivent être mises en place

correctement afin de permettre aux écrous de se serrer

de chaque côté de lʼaxe.

MISE EN PLACE DES PIEDS

1. Retournez le broyeur pour le poser sur sa partie

frontale afin dʼavoir accès aux trous de fixation des

roues sous le corps de lʼappareil (Figure 6).

2. Poussez les pieds dans le trou du corps du broyeur.

AVERTISSEMENT !

Prenez garde lorsque vous basculez le broyeur

sur ses roues car la répartition des masses n’est

pas uniforme. (voir Illustration du montage)

AVERTISSEMENT !

Pour assurer la stabilité du broyeur, assurez-

vous que les boulons borgnes et les rondelles

sont bien serrés.

UTILISATION

Ce broyeur de jardin permet de broyer la plupart des

déchets végétaux. Vous pourrez broyer les résidus de

taille de branchages et de bordures, les brindilles et

autres déchets végétaux du jardin dʼun diamètre maximal

de 40mm.

GUIDE DE BROYAGE

Pour de meilleurs résultats de broyage, suivez les conseils du tableau suivant.

MATIÈRES MÉTHODE DE BROYAGE

Brindilles et coupes jusqu’à 6mm de

diamètre.

Introduisez-les dans l’entonnoir à un rythme permettant au broyeur de

travailler sans surcharge. Au besoin, utilisez le poussoir pour aider la

chute des matières dans l’entonnoir.

Branches et tailles jusqu’à 40mm de

diamètre.

Coupez les pousses transversales avec un sécateur avant d’utiliser le

poussoir pour faire pénétrer les matières dans l’entonnoir.

Plantes annuelles, herbes et pousses

d’arbustes.

Tapez les racines pour les débarrasser de la terre et des cailloux aﬁ n de

ATTENTION !

N’introduisez pas de pierres, de verre, objets métalliques,

os, plastiques ou chiffons dans le broyeur.

Ces matériaux pourraient gravement endommager le

broyeur. N’introduisez pas de racines pleines de terre,

cela endommagerait les lames.

1. Installez le broyeur sur une surface plane stable et

solide.

2. Mettez en place un bac de ramassage ou un autre

dispositif de collecte sous le conduit dʼéjection afin de

collecter les matières broyées.

AVERTISSEMENT !

3. N’attachez pas de sac de collecte autour de la

jupe du conduit d’éjection.

NOTE: Assurez-vous que lʼinterrupteur On/Off est en

position OFF (Arrêt) avant la connexion sur le secteur.

4. Branchez lʼalimentation secteur. Une fois le broyeur

branché sur le secteur, lʼindicateur livetool ™ sera

illuminé en bleu.

5. Pour mettre le broyeur en marche, mettez

lʼinterrupteur On/Off en position ON (Marche).

Pour lʼarrêter, mettez simplement lʼinterrupteur On/Off

en position OFF.

6. Tout en portant des vêtements solides, introduisez

avec précaution les déchets à broyer dans lʼentonnoir.

AVERTISSEMENT !

N’introduisez pas vos mains dans l’entonnoir.

Le broyeur ne doit être utilisé qu’en position

verticale. Ne l’utilisez pas s’il repose sur le côté.

AVERTISSEMENT !

DÉBOURRAGE

Ce broyeur est équipé dʼun dispositif anti-surcharge.

NOTE: Au cas où le broyeur viendrait à se bloquer,

lʼalimentation du moteur serait automatiquement coupée.

Si le broyeur se bloque et ne veut pas redémarrer,

agissez comme suit.

1. Arrêtez le broyeur.

2. Débranchez lʼalimentation électrique afin de tenter de

débloquer tout bourrage.

3. Dévissez le bouton de verrouillage situé sous le capot

(voir figure 8).

Note: Le bouton de verrouillage a deux positions de

blocage. La première position verrouille le capot et la

deuxième position active ou désactive lʼinterrupteur

de sécurité. Lorsque vous serrez ce bouton, exercer

une légère pression sur celui-ci.

4. Soulevez le capot afin de découvrir la zone de coupe.

5. Retirez toute brindille, branche ou autre matière

qui bloque les lames, lʼentonnoir ou le conduit

dʼévacuation.

6. Refermez le capot, en vous assurant quʼil est bien en

place et en resserrant le bouton de verrouillage.

NOTE:

Si le capot nʼest pas correctement mis en place et que le

bouton de verrouillage nʼest pas bien serré, le broyeur ne

fonctionnera pas.

IMPORTANT:

7. Laissez le moteur refroidir pendant au moins 2

minutes.

8. Enfoncez le bouton de protection de surcharge

pour le remettre à zéro, vous pouvez maintenant

rebrancher lʼalimentation.

9. Enfin, remettez lʼinterrupteur en position ON pour

continuer le broyage.

NOTE: Après une utilisation prolongée, les performances

du broyeur peuvent se trouver diminuées. Les lames

sont devenues émoussées ou endommagées, mais

elles peuvent être retournées ou changées pour être à

nouveau bien coupantes.

NOTE:

1. Ne laissez-pas les déchets végétaux sʼaccumuler

avant de les broyer, car ils pourraient commencer à

se décomposer, devenir trop humides, et boucher

lʼappareil. Les matières sèches peuvent aider à

dégager le conduit dʼévacuation. Mettez de côté

quelques branchages secs en dernier recours avant

dʼavoir à nettoyer la zone de coupe.

2. Vérifiez régulièrement que les matières broyées ne

sʼaccumulent pas.

3. Ne laissez pas les matières broyées sʼaccumuler et

encombrer le conduit dʼévacuation.

4. Lorsque le bac est plein, arrêtez le broyeur en mettant

lʼinterrupteur On/Off sur Off avant de le vider.

et empêcher le moteur de tourner lors de la remise en

route.

ENTRETIEN

RETOURNEMENT DE LA LAME (voir figure 9, figure 11,

figure 12)

1. Arrêtez le broyeur en mettant lʼinterrupteur On/Off en

position OFF.

2. Débranchez le broyeur de lʼalimentation électrique.

3. Ouvrez le capot en desserrant le bouton de

verrouillage (Voir la section “Débourrage” plus haut

dans ce mode dʼemploi).

4. Tout en portant des gants de protection, Desserrez la

vis A de la lame à lʼaide de la clé I (à tête hexagonale)

fournie avec votre broyeur (voir figure 11).

5. Faites tourner les éléments de coupe afin de

pouvoir desserrer la vis B à lʼaide de la clé I (à tête

hexagonale) à travers le trou du blocage de sécurité

(voir figure 12).

6. Retirez la lame de coupe, et faites la tourner de 180°

afin que le nouveau bord coupant soit utilisé (voir

figure 12).

7. Serrez les vis A et B à lʼaide de la clé I (à tête

hexagonale).

8. Répétez ces étapes pour la seconde lame.

9. Assurez-vous que toutes les vis hexagonales sont

bien serrées.

10. Remettez enfin le capot en place en vous assurant

de son bon positionnement et resserrez fermement le

bouton de verrouillage.

NOTE: Si le capot n’est pas correctement mis en place

et que le bouton de verrouillage n’est pas bien serré, le

broyeur ne fonctionnera pas.

ENTRETIEN

AVERTISSEMENT !

Avant de commencer toute opération de

nettoyage et d’entretien, assurez-vous que

le broyeur de jardin est arrêté et débranché

du secteur. Portez toujours des gants solides

lorsque vous nettoyez les lames de coupe.

1. Gardez le broyeur propre pour lui conserver les

meilleures performances.

2. Nettoyez toujours le broyeur immédiatement après

utilisation.

3. Ne laissez aucune matière sécher sur la surface du

broyeur.

Ses performances en seraient directement affectées.

4. Assurez-vous que lʼentonnoir et que le conduit

dʼévacuation sont maintenus propres et libres de tout

déchet organique.

5. Assurez-vous que tous les écrous, tous les boulons

et toutes les vis sont bien serrés.

6. Faites toujours remplacer ou réparer les pièces

endommagées ou usées par du personnel qualifié.

ATTENTION

1. Ne serrez pas trop fort la vis de réglage du plateau et

nʼen coupez pas trop dʼaluminium, la durée de vie de

votre broyeur pourrait sʼen trouver raccourcie.

2. Faites régulièrement contrôler et entretenir votre

broyeur de jardin par du personnel qualifié. Nʼessayez

pas de réparer lʼappareil à moins que vous nʼen ayez

les compétences.

REMISAGE

Assurez-vous dʼavoir bien nettoyé le broyeur avant de le

ranger dans un endroit propre et sec, hors de portée des

La lame de coupe tourne à

l’envers.

Changez le sens de rotation.

Il y a un bourrage de

Mettez l’interrupteur de sélection du sens de rotation en

position “0” puis arrêtez le broyeur. Retirez les matières de

l’entonnoir. Réintroduisez les grosses branches de façon à

ce que les lames ne s’engagent pas immédiatement dans les

PREPARATION

OPERATION

1) Before starting the machine, look into the feeding

chamber to make certain that it is empty;

2) Keep your face and body away from the feed intake

opening;

3) Do not allow hands or any other part of the body or

clothing inside the feeding chamber, discharge chute,

or near any moving part;

4) Keep proper balance and footing all times. Do not

overreach. Never stand at a higher level than the base

of the machine when feeding material into it;

5) Always stand clear of the discharge zone when

operating this machine;

6) When feeding material into the machine be extremely

careful that pieces of metal, rocks, bottles, cans or

other foreign objects are not included;

7) If the cutting mechanism strikes any foreign objects or

if the machine should start making any unusual noise

or vibration, shut off the power source and allow the

machine to stop. Disconnect the spark plug wire from

the spark plug (electric disconnect from supply) and

take the following steps:

- inspect for damage;

- check for tighten any loose parts;

- have any damaged parts replaced or repaired with

parts having equivalent specifications.

8) Do not allow processed material to build up in the

discharge zone; this may prevent proper discharge

and can result in kickback of material through the feed

intake opening;

9) If the machine becomes clogged, shut off the power

source and disconnect the spark plug wire (electric

disconnect from supply) before clearing debris.

Keep the power source clear of debris and other

accumulations to prevent damage to the power source

or possible fire. Remember that operating the starting

mechanism on engine powered machines will still

cause the cutting means to move;

MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE

1) When the machine is stopped for servicing, inspection,

power source, disconnect the spark plug wire from

the spark (electric unit disconnect from supply), make

sure that all moving parts have come to a complete

stop and, where a key is fitted remove the key. Allow

the machine to cool before making any inspections,

adjustments, etc.;

2) When servicing the cutting means be aware that,

even though the power source will not start due to the

interlock feature of the guard, the cutting means can

still be moved by a manual starting mechanism.

3) shut-off the power unit before attaching or removing

the bag.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY AND PLUG FITTING

WARNING!

- Read these safety instructions thoroughly before

connecting this product to the mains supply.

- Before switching on, make sure that the voltage of

your electricity supply is the same as that indicated on

the rating plate. This product is designed to operate

on 230-240V~AC 50Hz.

- Connecting it to any other power source may cause

damage.

- This garden shredder may be fitted with a non - plug.

- If it is necessary to change the fuse in the plug, the

fuse cover must be refitted.

- If the fuse cover becomes lost or damaged, the plug

must not be used until a suitable replacement is

obtained.

- If the plug has to be changed because it is not suitable

for your socket, or due to damage, it should be cut

off and a replacement fitted, following the wiring

instructions shown below.

- The old plug must be disposed of safely, as insertion

into a 13 amp socket could cause an electrical hazard.

- Our Garden Shredder is supplied with a fitted plug,

however if you should need to fit a new plug follow the

instructions below.

- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced

by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly

qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

NOTE: If a plug is fitted and has to be removed take

great care in disposing of the plug and severed cable. It

must be destroyed to prevent engaging in a socket.

The wires in the mains lead are in accordance with the

As the of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance

may not correspond with the markings identifying the

terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:

The wire which is blue must be connected to the terminal

If a 13 AMP (BS 1363) Plug is used, a 13 AMP Fuse

1. Do not allow garden waste to accumulate before

shredding as it will begin to compost, become too

damp and clog the cutting assembly. Dry material will

help most material to clear the ejection chute. Save

some dry sticks until last to help clean the blade area.

ASSEMBLY

FITTING THE TRANSPORTATION WHEELS

WARNING!

You may need assistance when lifting the

machine out of the box and assembling.

NOTE: The legs should be splayed out at the bottom to

give stability to the unit.

1. Position the axle tube between the two legs.

2. Slide the axle through the hole in one of the leg then

through the axle tube and out through the hole in the

other leg. (see figure 4)

3. Position the washers, and wheel bushes on each end

of the axle.

4. Push the wheels onto each end of the axle.

5. Position the remaining washers and the locking nuts

on each end of the axle and tighten both the wheel

nuts using spanner I and spanner II.

NOTE: One is fixed the nylon nut on one side, and

another spanner for locking the nylon nut on another

side.

6. Insert the end frame to the each hole of the leg, and

lock the screw. (see figure 4)

NOTE: The wheels must be fitted the correct way round

to allow the nuts to tighten on each end of the axle.

FITTING THE LEG

1. Turn the shredder over onto its front to reveal the

wheel support fixing holes on the underside of the

shredder body.

2. Push the leg to the hole in the shredder body. (see

figure 6)

WARNING!

Take care when tilting the unit onto its wheels

as the unit has an uneven weight distribution

when tilted and during wheeled transportation.

To ensure the stability of the shredder, make

sure that the cap headed bolts and washers are

securely tightened.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

The garden shredder is suitable for shredding most

organic garden waste. It will shred, hedge trimmings,

twigs and other organic garden waste up to a maximum

diameter of 40mm.

SHREDDING GUIDE

For best results when shredding, follow the guidelines shown in the table below.

MATERIAL SHREDDING METHOD

Twigs and up to 6mm diameter. Feed into the feeding chute at a rate which the shredder will accept

without overloading. Use the plunger to push the material into the chute

if required.

Branches and up to 40mm in Clip off all side growth with secateurs before feeding into the feeding

diameter. chute with the plunger.

Bedding plants, weeds and shrubby Knock soil and stones off the roots to avoid damage to the blades. Avoid

growth. weeds that may have seeded. The seeds may not decompose and may

germinate later.

Freshly cut foliage, hedge, With any material having high moisture content, it is advisable to feed

and kitchen waste.(I.e. cabbage leaves, in some dryer sticks at regular intervals to help push the material through

vegetable peelings etc.) the cutting assembly and prevent it from clogging.

SHREDDING GUIDE

CAUTION!

Do not feed stones, glass, metal objects, bones, plastic

or rags into the shredder.

These materials will cause serious damage to the

shredder. Do not feed roots covered with soil, as this will

damage the blades.

1. Position the shredder on a firm, level, stable surface.

2. Position a collecting box or other collecting device

under the ejection chute to collect the shredded

material.

WARNING!

3. Do not fix a collection bag around the waist of

the discharge chute.

NOTE: Ensure power On/Off switch is in the OFF position

before switching on the mains power.

4. Connect to the mains supply. Once the shredder is

connected to the mains supply, and the indicating

lamp will show a blue light.

5. To switch on the shredder first press the power On/Off

switch to ON.

To switch off simply push the On/Off switch to the OFF

position.

6. Wearing heavy duty gloves, carefully feed the waste

material to be shredded into the feeding chute.

WARNING!

Do not put your hands into the feeding chute.

The shredder must be used in the upright

position only. Do not operate the shredder if it is

lying on its side.

WARNING!

When feeding long woody branches/stems into

the shredder be careful of whip and vibrations as

they get caught by the cutter.

WARNING!

The cutting device has a tendency to pull

branches/stems into the machine. Do not try

to impede entry of the material being cut once

feeding has started.

CLEARING OBSTRUCTIONS

This shredder has an overload protection button.

NOTE: If the shredder should become jammed, power to

the motor will automatically cut off. If the shredder jams

and will not restart, the following action should be taken.

1. Switch the shredder OFF.

2. Disconnect shredder from mains supply before

attempting to unblock any jams.

3. Unscrew locking knob, located on underside of cover.

(see figure 8)

NOTE: The locking knob has two locking stages. In

the first stage it locks the housing and in the second

stage it activates or deactivates the safety switch.

When tightening the knob make sure that you put a little

pressure on the knob.

4. Lift cover up so it is clear of cutting section.

5. Remove any twigs, branches or other material

that may be clogging the blades, feeding chute or

discharge chute.

6. Re-close cover, making sure cover is correctly located

and securely re-tighten locking knob.

NOTE: If cover is not correctly fitted and locking knob is

not securely tightened the shredder will not operate.

IMPORTANT.

7. Allow at least 2 minutes for the motor to cool down.

8. Push in the overload protection button to re-set, mains

power can now be switched on.

9. Finally switch ON shredder to continue shredding.

NOTE: After prolonged use, your shredder may loose

performance. The blades become worn or damaged, but

can be reversed to provide a new cutting edge.

NOTE:

1. Do not allow garden waste to accumulate before

shredding as it will begin to compost, become too

damp and clog the cutting assembly. Dry material will

some dry sticks until last to help clean the blade area.

2. Frequently monitor the build up/collection of shredded

material.

3. Do not allow shredded material to build up and fill the

inside of the shredders discharge chute.

4. When the collection box is full, press the On/Off switch

to turn the garden shredder Off before emptying.

WARNING!

Do not put your hands up inside the shredderʼs

discharge chute to clear away shredded material

while the shredder is switched on or connected

to the mains supply.

WARNING!

When feeding long woody branches/stems into

the shredder be careful of whip and vibrations as

they get caught by the cutter.

WARNING!

The cutting device has a tendency to pull

branches/stems into the machine. Do not try

to impede entry of the material being cut once

feeding has started.

If necessary, use the plunger provided to push the waste

material down into the feeding chute.

NOTE:In normal use, do not switch off the garden

shredder until all of the shredded material has cleared

the cutter assembly. If the garden shredder is switched

off too quickly, remaining pieces of material may clog the

blade assembly and stall the motor when the shredder is

switched back on.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

REVERSING THE BLADE

(see figure 9 figure 11 figure 12 )

1. Switch off shredder by pressing the power On/Off

switch to OFF position.

2. Disconnect the shredder from the mains power supply.

3. Unscrew cover using locking knob. (Can refer to the

paragraph: CLEARING OBSTRUCTIONS)

4. Wearing protective glover, using Spanner I (with hex

key) provided unscrew the cutting blade screw A from

the cutting device (see figure 11)

5. Rotation the cutting blade plate make the screw B can

unscrew by safe blockage hole, and using Spanner

I (with hex key) provided unscrew the cutting blade

screw B from the cutting device (see figure 12)

6. Remove cutting blade, and rotate blade 180 so the

new blade cutting edge is now in use.(see figure 12)

7. Follow the above procedure for the opposite cutting

blade.

8. Assemble the safe blockage, and using spanner II to

tight the screws

9. Ensure all hex screw is fully tightened.

10. Finally return cover, making sure cover is correctly

located and securely re-tighten locking knob.

NOTE: If cover is not correctly fitted and locking knob not

securely tightened the shredder will not operate.

MAINTENANCE

WARNING!

Before commencing cleaning and maintenance

procedures, make sure the garden shredder is

switched off and disconnected from the mains

supply. Always wear sturdy leather gloves when

cleaning the cutter blades.

1. To ensure the best performance from the garden

shredder, it must be kept clean.

2. Always clean the garden shredder immediately after

use.

3. Do not allow material to become dry and hard on any

of the garden shredder surfaces. This will directly

affect the shredding performance.

4. Make sure that the feeder chute and the ejection chute

are kept clean and clear of all waste material.

5. Make sure that all nuts, bolts and screws are tight and

secure.

6. Always have any damaged or worn parts repaired, or

replaced by qualified personnel.

CAUTION

1. Do not over tighten the plate adjustment screw and

cut excessive aluminum off of the plate, as this will

reduce the life of your shredder.

2. Have your garden shredder inspected and maintained

by qualified service personnel. Do not attempt to

repair the machine unless you are qualified to do so.

STORAGE

Make sure that the garden shredder has been thoroughly

cleaned before storing it in a clean, dry place out of the

reach of children.

Press the reset button, and press the switch

“1”.

Check the power supply cable, the plug and

the house fuse.

Press the switch marked “O” to stop the motor.

Pull the material from the feed funnel. Re-

feed thick branches such that the blade does

not immediately engage the pre-cut notches

again.

Ensure that the shredder is switch off and

disconnect from the mains supply, replace

the blades.

Caution! Allow the shredder to come to a complete standstill before changing the direction of rotation.

Bedienung

1) Schauen Sie vor dem Anlassen der Maschine in den

Einfülltrichter und überprüfen Sie, ob dieser leer ist.

2) Halten Sie das Gesicht und den Körper von der

Einfüllöffnung fern.

3) Strecken Sie weder die Hände noch andere

Körperteile in den Einfülltrichter oder den

Auswurfschaft und nähern Sie sich keinem

bewegenden Teil.

4) Achten Sie stets auf einen guten Stand und

bewahren Sie das Gleichgewicht. Strecken Sie den

Oberkörper nicht zu weit aus. Stehen Sie während

der Materialeingabe nie oberhalb der Grundfläche der

Maschine.

5) Halten Sie sich beim Betrieb der Maschine vom

Auswurfbereich fern.

6) Achten Sie bei der Materialeingabe darauf, dass

keine Metallstücke, Steine, Flaschen, Büchsen oder

andere Fremdkörper dabei sind.

7) Falls trotzdem ein Fremdkörper ins Gerät gelangt

oder die Maschine ungewöhnliche Geräusche von

sich gibt oder vibriert, schalten Sie den Strom ab und

warten Sie, bis die Maschine zum Stillstand kommt.

Trennen Sie das Zündkerzenkabel von der Zündkerze

(trennen Sie elektrische Geräte vom Strom) und

gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
