Use a coin or a screwdriver to
loosen the screw.
Pull out the screw with the
packaging lock.

WARNING:
All packing materials such as tape, plastic sheets, packaging
locks, removable tags, cable ties and packaging screws are not
part of this toy, and should be discarded for your child’s safety.
NOTE:
Please keep this parent’s guide as it contains important
information.
ACTIVATE NORMAL PLAY MODE
This product is in try-me mode in the packaging. To activate normal
play mode, please complete the following steps:
1. Slide the ON/OFF SWITCH to the OFF (
) position.
2. Press and hold the LIGHT UP BUTTON for 2 seconds.
3. Slide the ON/OFF SWITCH to the ON (
) position to activate
normal play mode.
To unlock the packaging lock
on the raft:
Rotate the packaging lock 90
degrees anticlockwise.
Pull out the packaging lock.

GETTING STARTED
BATTERY INSTALLATION
1. Make sure the character is OFF.
2. Locate the battery cover on the
bottom of the character. Use a
screwdriver to loosen the screws.
3. Install 2 new AAA size (LR03/AM-4)
batteries following the diagram inside
the battery box. (The use of new
alkaline batteries is recommended
for maximum performance).
4. Replace the battery cover and tighten
the screws to secure.
BATTERY NOTICE
• Use new alkaline batteries or fully charged NI-MH (Nickel Metal-
hydride) rechargeable batteries for best performance.
• Use only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended.
• Do not mix different types of batteries: alkaline, standard
(carbon-zinc) or rechargeable, or new and used batteries.
• Do not use damaged batteries.
• Insert batteries with the correct polarity.
• Do not short-circuit the battery terminals.
• Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
• Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
• Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
• Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
• Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before charging (if
removable).

• Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult
supervision.
DISPOSAL OF BATTERIES AND PRODUCT
The crossed-out wheelie bin symbols on products and
batteries, or on their respective packaging, indicates
they must not be disposed of in domestic waste as
they contain substances that can be damaging to the
environment and human health.
The chemical symbols Hg, Cd or Pb, where marked,
indicate that the battery contains more than the
specified value of mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd) or lead
(Pb) set out in Battery Directive (2006/66/EC).
The solid bar indicates that the product was placed on
the market after 13th August, 2005.

The ON/OFF SWITCH is located on
the bottom of the character.
To turn the character on, slide the
ON/OFF SWITCH to the ON (

position. To turn the character off,
slide the ON/OFF SWITCH to the

2. AUTOMATIC SHUT OFF
To preserve battery life, the VTech
®
Toot-Toot Friends
TM
Kingdom character will automatically shut off after several
minutes of no input. The character can only be turned on
again by pressing the LIGHT UP BUTTON or by placing it on a
MagicPoint
TM
location.
The LIGHT UP BUTTON will flash several times and shut off
when the character’s battery level is low. We suggest to change
the batteries if this occurs.
ACTIVITIES
1. Slide the ON/OFF SWITCH to turn
the character ON. Then press the
LIGHT UP BUTTON to hear phrases,
songs, melodies and fun sounds.
2. Place the character on the
MagicPoint
TM
location to make the
raft move forward, see the light
flash, hear fun phrases, melodies
and sing-along songs.
For optimal performance, play with
your Toot-Toot Friends
TM
Kingdom
raft on a smooth and flat surface.
Important Note: For your child’s
safety, only play with this toy on
the ground. Never play with this
toy in water. Do not roll the toy
on your clothing, body or hair.
If something gets caught in the
raft’s wheels while the motor is
on, remove the character from
the raft to turn off the motor.

3. Press the cannon button to launch the projectile and spin the
sail to promote motor skill development.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
1. Keep the toy and its metal parts clean by wiping them with a
slightly damp cloth.
2. Keep the toy out of direct sunlight and away from any direct
heat source.
3. Remove the batteries when the toy is not in use for an extended
period of time.
4. Do not drop the toy on hard surfaces and do not expose the toy
to moisture or water.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If for some reason the toy stops working or malfunctions while
playing with a MagicPoint
TM
accessory, please remove the
character from the accessory and place the character back onto the
MagicPoint
TM
.
If the toy still does not function, or if for some reason the toy stops
working or malfunctions on its own, please follow these steps:
1. Please turn the toy OFF.
2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.

3. Let the toy stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
4. Turn the toy ON. The toy should now be ready to play again.
5. If the product still does not work, please install a brand new set
of batteries.
