INTRODUCTION
Polco bottle jacks are produced to conform with European Standard EN 1494/A1:2008.
RETAIN THESE INSTRUCTIONS
Please read this manual carefully before you use your jack and ensure you understand its operation and the
safety procedures to be observed.
Make sure this manual is kept for future reference and that new users of this product read and understand the
contents before they use the jack.
Inspect before each use. Do not use if broken, bent, cracked, or damaged parts are noted. If the jack appears
damaged in any way, operates abnormally, or is missing parts, it must be removed from service immediately.
If the jack has been, or is suspected to have been, subjected to a shock load (a load dropped suddenly,
unexpectedly on it), immediately discontinue use and remove from service.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Polco bottle jacks are designed to lift, but not sustain, rated capacity loads.
Intended use: to lift one axle of a vehicle for the purpose of service and/or repair of vehicle components. After
lifting, loads must be supported by appropriately rated axle stands. Check vehicle owner’s manual for proper
lifting points.

• Donotattempttomovethevehiclewhilstonthejack.
• Liftonlyonareasofthevehicleasspeciedbythevehiclemanufacturer.
• Centretheloadonsaddlepriortolifting.
• Somevehiclesrequireanadaptortoproperlyengagetheframeforlifting.Usevehiclemanufacturer’s
instructions on proper lifting.
• Usewheelchockstoblockun-jackedwheels.
• Noalterationstothejackshouldbemade.
• Alwaysusecautionwhenworkingonoraroundliftedvehicle.
• Failuretoheedthesewarningsmayresultinpersonalinjuryand/orpropertydamage.
Release valve may not be tightly closed.
Jack may be low on oil.
Remove filler plug and fill reservoir with clean hydraulic jack oil.
Reservoir may be overfilled.
Remove filler plug and drain excess oil.
Jack may be air-bound.
Open the release valve and pump the handle several times.
Close the release valve and operate. Repeat if necessary.
Valves may not be closed or have foreign matter present. To flush valves, lower
the saddle and close the release valve. Manually lift saddle several inches, open
the release valve and then force the saddle to lower as rapidly as possible.
