SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with
the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- Follow all given instructions in order to reduce risk of injury or electrical shock.
- Always make sure that the power supply voltage matches data on the appliance’s rating label.
- Never leave the appliance unattended while in operation. Always unplug the appliance when not in use.
- This heater becomes hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces.
- WARNING! Some parts of this appliance can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention must be
given when children or vulnerable people are present.
- Keep all combustible materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, curtains etc. at a distance of at
least 1 meter from the appliance.
- Minimum safety distances for the appliance are 1,8 m from the floor and 0,5 m from the ceiling and walls. Always
follow these safety distances!
- The halogen tubes of this appliance must not point upwards towards the ceiling. They must face the area they are
meant to heat.
- WARNING! In order to avoid overheating do not cover the appliance.
- Do not use the appliance if there are any visible signs of damage.
- Never attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions of this appliance, as it doesn’t contain any
user serviceable parts. Only a qualified electrician is allowed to perform service and repairs on the appliance.
Attempting to repair the appliance yourself will void the warranty.
- If the cable is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified electrician.
- Do not handle the halogen tubes with bare hands. If it is inadvertently touched, remove finger marks with a soft
cloth and methylated spirits or alcohol, otherwise the marks will burn into the halogen tube causing malfunction.
- Never attempt to replace the halogen tube yourself.
- This appliance is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Do not operate the appliance in direct sunlight, near heat
sources, in humid environment or in places near water or other liquids such as bathrooms, showers or swimming
pools.
- The appliance must not be left outdoors exposed to the elements for long periods of time.
- Do not operate with wet hands or spill water or other liquids on the appliance, its cable or plug.
- Do not run the cable under carpeting. Do not cover the cable with rugs, runners or similar coverings. Arrange the
cable away from foot traffic and where it will not be tripped over.
- Do not wind the cable around the appliance.
- Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter inside the appliance as this may result in electric shock, fire or
damage to the appliance.
- To prevent possible fire, never block the air vents of this appliance.
- Never use the appliance in areas where fuel, paints or other flammable substances are used or stored.
- Always position the appliance with the mains plug in an accessible position and avoid the use of an extension
cords as they may overheat and create a potential fire risk.
- Always ensure the appliance is plugged into an appropriate socket that is suitable for outdoor use.
- After use, turn the appliance off and remove the plug from the socket. Do not unplug by pulling on the cable.
- Always unplug the appliance and wait until it has cooled down completely before moving, cleaning or storing it.
